New Congress Fund

New Congress Fund is really just a group of friends, including Josh Lynn and Amias Gerety, who really care about winning political power for Democrats.  We're not super ideological, but we recognize that the Republican party is not serious about governing and so if you care about having the Federal Government solve problems -- you have to be a Democrat.  

We've been working in Democratic economic policy and finance our whole careers.  We love numbers and we're constantly surprised that no one else is answering the question that motivates us: what is the most impactful way to give in politics? 

The Shock

When Josh and I woke up after election day in 2016, we knew that we needed to do something to "be the change."  So, after leaving government we launched our first New Congress Fund effort -- backing first time candidates who would bring new energy to the House and tip it back to Democratic control.  

The Track Record

While we don't have time to build full monte carlo simulations and poll tracking, our analysis does go deep and our track record for money ball efforts is pretty good.  Over the past three cycles, we've backed 34 races, won 27  of them (79%, with one actual case of election fraud in 2018), and both our winning and our losing races routine decided by less than 1%.  In fact, in 2018, we backed 11 races -- of the 9 that we eventually won, THREE were called for Republicans on election night. 

We've also been proud to support rising stars in the Democratic party like Elissa Slotkin and Andy Kim, both of whom we believe are headed for the Senate this Fall.  Here's the full track record of Wins & Losses.
